2. The Town of Riverhead now has a food scrap drop-off site available as part of our continuing commitment to divert waste from incinerators and landfills, and to improve our local soils.

   1. Collect food scraps in a countertop container
   2. Bring scraps to the municipal drop-off site and place scraps in a free bin
   3. Scraps will be converted into compost at local facilities to improve local soil

   If you have any questions, kindly email the Town of Riverhead's Compost Division.

   Drop-Off Location:

   • 532 Youngs Avenue, Calverton
   • Yard Waste Facility (by E-Waste Drop-off)
   • Hours: Thursday through Monday from 7 am until 3:30 pm.
